Longstride

The Washington Monument State Park, located along the Appalachian Trail in Maryland, contains the site of the Washington Monument, a 40-foot tall stone tower honoring George Washington, the first President of the United States. The original tower built on the site was the first monument dedicated to George Washington completed, in 1827. It has since been rebuilt two times.
