Exhausted yesterday after spending a few hours at REI trying on packs and buying stuff. Not sure if the exhaustion was due to shopping, shopping with a 20 pound pack on, or from spending a lot of money.
I tried on three packs. I should have written down the names of two that I tried and rejected before settling on the Osprey Atmos 65 AG pack. I also got an REI Igneo 19 mummy bag, a waterproof compression drysack, a pack cover, and pair of trekking poles.
I'm debating whether to go back today and get a tent and other supplies, or wait to do that next week.
The weather on Saturday and Sunday looks to be conducive to getting out and doing hiking somewhere, so I need to figure out where to give it a go with the pack, that will hopefully not be still covered in snow.
