Longstride

One last day in Methven was another lazy rest day.

• It was raining fairly heavily this morning, though the rain stopped sooner than I expected, and it was sunny for most of the rest of the day. There were, however, dark clouds to the west most of the day, which I presumed were raining on the trail.
• I returned to Primo and Secundo for breakfast, since the breakfast restaurant I went to yesterday is closed on Mondays.
• I didn’t go out for lunch. My somewhat late breakfast, combined with snacking on beef jerky and mango jerky all afternoon somewhat killed my appetite.
• The hiker I’d been talking to yesterday, Eric, had some extra chicken pasta he gave me towards dinner time. That basically killed my desire to go out to eat for dinner, though I got some ice cream from the supermarket.
• Tomorrow, I get up at 5 am to catch the school bus to the trail at 6 am.
