Again, despite a 4:30 alarm, I didn’t start hiking until 6:30. I’m really looking forward to getting to town tomorrow and taking a short break; I feel like I’m getting more and more tired.

My attempts at getting started before sunrise have continued to fail, and I didn’t start hiking until almost 6:45 this morning. By that time, the sun was well on its way into the sky, though it was still relatively cool. At least it would be a mostly downhill into Seiad Valley.

With sunrise starting to shift towards 6 am, I’ve been waking up before sunrise quite regularly lately. This morning, I managed to get a good look at the sunrise over the distant mountains.

I didn’t get to sleep until (very!) late last night — after midnight — so I didn’t set an alarm for this morning. I woke up a bit after 7, the sun already bright in the sky.
