Today, I Left Lordsburg, now on my way to the next trail town, Silver City, which I’m very much looking forward to as it will be my first zero on the trail.

I set a 5 am alarm with the hopes of getting started before sunrise. I very nearly succeeded, leaving the same minute as sunrise. It was nice and cool out, which was great for getting moving quickly.

I woke up this morning to the smell of rain. The rain last night never reached me, but that unmistakable smell wafted into my tent, along with a bit of humidity.
