Monday night was my last night in my weekly D&D gaming group for the foreseeable future. I joined the group during its third session back in September 2000, and it's been fun times ever since then.

On Thursday, I went to the food store to look specifically for food that would be useful on the trail, without intending to actually buy anything, and then wound up buying a bunch of Clif bars, instant oatmeal, Mac & Cheese, and Ramen, since they were all on sale.

Yesterday, I stopped by the Apple Store to pick up the shortest (and thus, lightest) Apple Watch and iPhone power cables they had. The Apple Watch charger is still obnoxiously heavy comparatively, and the boxed version has this unnecessary chrome ring around the outside that isn’t present on the cable that comes with the watch.

I now have confirmed transportation from Gainesville, GA to Amicalola Falls State Park, where I will begin my hike at the foot of the approach trail.
