It was cold outside, and with a short day to Crabtree Meadows to summit Mount Whitney tomorrow, I wasn’t inclined to get up early. I was eventually forced out of my tent at 7 to get breakfast.

It was not my plan today to hike through a hailstorm with thunder and lightning at 11,500 feet, but, I guess I can check that off my bucket list now.

It was cool, though not as cold as it was yesterday. Nevertheless, I did not manage to get out of my tent earlier than usual, let alone to see the sunrise. I still managed to have a good view from my campsite, though.
