With more than 20 miles to my resupply in Trout Lake, I wanted to get up and get hiking early, to get to town as early in the day as possible. However, it was cool, foggy, and damp, which made me not exactly motivated to quickly get out of my tent this morning.

Although I set my alarm for six, I didn’t roll out of bed until an hour later. Keeping the blinds drawn didn’t provide any cue that the sun was starting to come up, and the alarm going off was a pretty rude awakening.

I didn’t sleep well at all last night. The trains were even worse than they were Saturday night. It didn’t help that the Marine Park hiker camping area was closer to the train tracks, but I think there were just more and louder trains than there were on Saturday.
